Maintance on coach. Tie up loose ends. Tour meeting at 2:00 with briefing on tomorrows departure and trip in general. So far we have traveled 4720 miles. Used 535.6 gal. of fuel Averaging mpg. 8.8 Fuel cost $2,477.99 which averages 4.63 /gal.


11 Jul 08 Fri. day 40 Up early to depart for Canada. Coach is all ready and we have briefing at 8:00am. Pull out at 8:30. Mini caravan to Capabello Island. Summer home of FDR. 18 bedrooms/4 baths (compare it to Newport Beach RI or Baa Habaa, Me.
Through Canadian Customs 4:30 after the wait in line at Calais, Me. Rolled into camp 6:30

12 Jul 08 Sat. day 41 Saint John, New Brunswick. Nice camp. St. Johns goes back to 1700's. A lot of 100 year old homes, still used and very well kept.There was a big fire in 1800 that destroyed 2/3 of the city.
Went to upside down falls. A rock out crop 36' below the water creates rapids and falls that change with the tides. Lunch there with a beautiful view of the rapids. Tour of the city. City gets 10' of snow each winter.

13 Jul Sun. day 42 Travel to Hopewell Cape and the Bay of Fundy. Highest tides in the world occur here. 52' as a Max. Generaly around 25 to 30'. Mushroom rocks are awsome sight. Bottom of rocks are worn off by the water' Top has soil and vegetation, so it looks like a mushroom. Saw Lew and Vi , Tracy and Betty there at the same time.
