27 June FR Leave Peru - drive to Granger Indiana (South Bend) to visit Tom & Joan Wisner (Navigator from BH Air force base.Had not seen them for about 35 years. Lots of talk about the old days. Dinner at Casino by Lake Michigan

28 June Sat Haircuts for both of us and a little shopping. Met up with Tom & Joan . Took the afternoon to tour all the nooks and crannies of Notre Dame. Quite the Place. Traditions everywhere. Joan Fixed us dinner at their home. Very tasty Pasta. Finally said our good-bys about 9:30.

29 June Sun Up to try for early departure. SURPRISE Its raining. No its Pouring!
It rains almost all the way to Buffalo. Arrive Chris & Bruces (Scotts Mom & Step Dad)
about 9pm Dinner there.

30 Jun Mon Slow start Morning. Bruce had to work. Chris took us to Niagara Falls. We see it from every angle. Mother nature showing her power again. (Fantastic) Did "Maid of the Mist" cruise right up to the falls. thought the mist was a little HEAVY, ---NO---ITS RAINING (big BLACK CLOUD LET LOOSE ON TOP OF US.) Drive over to Goat Island and hike around it, 3 Sisters Islands and top of Bridal Veil Falls. The amount of waves coming down this river is just amazing. Dinner at KOI (continental) at Casino.

1 JUL Tu. We are up early so the 4 of us can partake the "Whirl Pool Jet Boat" After complete briefing we board the Jet Boat for the cruise. You are told ahead "Do not take anything that can't get wet, because it does. Plus things get torn away from you and are lost in the water. During the cruise we do 3 "Kelsey" turns and shoot 3/4 and 5 rapids. There is a class 6, but it is illegal , $10,000 fine. The water at the whirl pool is 250' deep.

I guess, just having to much fun and no time to keep up. Grand Island, NY is a beautiful place. We have seen a Play "Wizard" in downtown Buffalo. Jet-skied, Kayaked the Niagara River, rode bikes and met great people. Super time.

6 JUL sUN Departed Grand Island and almost immediateloy pulled onto a Toll Road. On On that toll road all the way across NY State. $51.70 . For you west coasters thats like driving from Seattle to Eugene Oregon. So every time we would make a trip to Portland and back it would cost $100.00 in tolls. Stayed the night in Sturbridge, Maine

7 Jul Mon Departed Sturbridge about 9:00. Back on a toll road. Paid about $27.00 in tolls today . Arr. Trenton, Maine at 3:45 , Timberland Acres R.V. Park. Already there are,
Norm & Lee DeShon, Al & Ina Soverign, Bob & Lorraine Scholes, Gary & Barb Pisel,
Since today is Myron's 71 birthday, they all throw a party with cake and Ice Cream.
Great friends to be with for the next 40 days or so.
