26JUN08 Thu Day25 (Grissom -ex Bunker Hill)

Toured the local area. Drove out to Walton IN where we first lived when assingned here in the Air Force. Found that house -- now has trees but looks good. Back to Bunker Hill AFB -- (now Grissom). The base has been deactivated and is now just a reserve refueling wing.The housing and most of the main buildings have been turned over to civilian entities. The Old "Officers Club" is now a bar and resturant open to anyone. The housing area is now all civilian and you can buy the units for somewhere between 30 and 80,000 dollars. Took pictures of the old place.. Finally out of there and back to Peru - which is "Circus City USA" as this is where the big circuses would winter back in the 1800s and well into the 1900s. Now there is the Circus International Hall of Fame.
